OF T-FACTOR AT MIND

The city of Milan is hosting one of the 6 pilot projects of T-Factor
at MIND-Milano Innovation District.

The T-Factor pilot at MIND involves a Local Coalition
dedicated to the development of temporary spaces and uses for the district,
in which new ways of designing, planning, financing and governing successful regeneration processes are being tested, with the following objectives:

OPEN, VIBRANT AND COLLABORATIVE R&I ECOSYSTEM

Create a vibrant research community
for the exchange and dissemination of scientific knowledge.

Mission 2

ACTIVE, HEALTHY AND GREEN LIFESTYLES

Promoting conscious and sustainable lifestyles
through knowledge and protection of urban biodiversity.

Mission 3

ACCESSIBILITY & USABILITY

Building a shared identity for the district
and foster its accessibility through osmosis
between internal and local realities.

Years or even decades can pass between the approval
of a regeneration plan and its actual implementation.

During this period, temporary spaces and initiatives
of a cultural, social or entrepreneurial nature,
can become a critical asset for the city to establish
more inclusive and sustainable regeneration processes.

At MIND, T-Factor‘s pilot experiments with.
the creation of temporary initiatives, called meanwhile uses
to support the renewal of the area’s identity
toward the development of an open and collaborative innovation ecosystem.

Specifically, the experimentation revolves around
3 main temporary spaces and uses.

Life Science
Open Hub

A meeting place for universities,
companies and citizens, where art and science come together, creating experiences immersive in the world of health and personalized medicine.

Herbula
WILD Garden

A garden-laboratory dedicated to the exploration of urban biodiversity,
in which experimental and educational activities will accompany the inhabitants of MIND and neighboring municipalities, in the enhancement of local natural resources.

COMMUNITY
HOUSE

A space for collaboration between MIND actors and local non-profits, where to propose and implement joint initiatives in a spirit of exchange and cross-pollination toward a gradual overcoming
of perceived barriers.
